96 3.8 firebird was misfiring real bad mileage ran rough. Ran out of gas and won't start now. Running out of ideas. Cranks but won't start

I presume you put some gas in the tank after it ran out of gas?
Could be many things. If you want to DIY you need a repair manual. You need to read or have the error codes read by your favorite auto parts store. My wild guess is a bad mass air flow meter. I had one fail, and the symptoms sound similar.

I don't know if my other question posted but my baby's momma has a 1999 Dodge Durango v-8 and has been running on like no gas for weeks and ran out of gas twice like the idot she is but anyway she let it...

Dakotas and Durangos both have a storied history of no-start issues. If you have never replaced the crankshaft position sensor, I would start there as it is a common failure item and is fairly cheap and easy to change out.. As far as running it low on gas is concerned, that would not have caused this issue. But sometimes things just happen coincidentally.

Wont stay running.

There is no thinking & throwing parts at any vehicle

The only fix is knowledge & the ability to do some testing

Lets go with a failed fuel pump & at least check pressure
at the motor on a gauge or see if that data is on a scan tool

Explain what test told you a cylinder wasn't firing !

Broken timing belt damage engine 93

You mean it will crank but not start ? Do you have normal compression, spark and fuel pressure ?
If the timing belt broke you won't have compression on all cylinders.

2002 Ford Explorer ran out of gas put gas in and won't restart. replaced fuel pump and fuel filter still won't start. Cranks but won't start

Most Fords have a fuel reset button. When you ran out of gas you tripped the circuit. Most of the time the button will be on the passenger side by the kick panel. The exact location should be in your owners manual or your local library or auto parts store will have a copy of one for your specific vehicle.
