1987 Bronco II 2.9 Engine. Had it for 10 years with the same problem the whole time. Runs fine while the weather is warm and dry. Once the humidity or temp changes, or the rain starts, it loses power, bogs...

Have you changed the distributor cap? A crack in the cap will cause moisture to gather and cause spark issues. Give the cap a very thorough inspection and also your wires. You may have poorly insulated boots on the wires and the spark will ground out. I had this issue and I looked at the engine at night in the pitch black. I found a plug wire arcing to the distributor base because of a bad plug wire. The truck lost power when the weather was moist. I hope this helps.

1987 ranger have no m.a.f and truck is stalling when i give it gas while its in gear like its getting to much gas flooding bogging down

You need that Mass Air Flow to be working or your mixture is going to burn excess gas. Drove like that for four months myself, but after replacing, purred like a dove. I got a used part from a "Bumper to Bumper" place that we have near. Used worked for me...

1988 ford ranger 4 speed v6 problems keeping it running.

Fuel filter? There's also a filter on the suction intake inside the gas tank, it can get plugged up. I'd definitely try the filter if you haven't. Good luck. Have you checked the fuel psi coming from the tank? If it's fuel injection, it should be pretty high, 55 - 60 psi. Let me know if I can help.

I think i have to get my clutch bled because their might be air in the clutch is this why my ford ranger 1988 tries to bog down i replaced the spark plugs but sometimes the wire for the spark plugs come...

Just use a pliers and squeeze the metal prong inside plug wire. the wires are all one size, sometimes the power is so great, it pushes the wire off. So, just squeeze the metal prong inside plug wire and it will give you a tighter fit.

If your truck is bogging, it may be due to dirty fuel filter, dirty air filter, or clogged exhaust.
