My 40hp even rude starts fine runs great for first 15 min and then starts to stall I choke it and then runs fine for a minute and then gots to choke again what's the problem hope it's nothing bad

First, you have posted in the car and truck section, but I will try to help anyway. Sounds as if the engine begins to run lean after it warms up. This could be restricted fuel flow or just the main jet adjustment too lean. Using the choke limits air flow creating a richer mixture. Test fuel filters and lines.

Sometimes car cranks, wont start,i spray starting fluid & it starts ,runs fine. has new fuel pump & filter.

Some cars have 2 temperature sensors. 1 makes the dash gauge work and the other makes the engine controls work. The car has a "Cold start" sequence which does the job of the old choke. The system resets after the motor cools down.

The timing is adjusted, the fuel is set rich and the idle speed is increased. Sounds like your engine is not using this program.

1999 GMC Suburban turns over but won't start

It sounds like the choke is the most likely culprit. Take the air cleaner off the throttle body/Carburater. Have someone cover most of the throttle body/Carburater intake, if you don't have help use a piece of heavy cardboard. If it starts up right away it's the choke. Note: if you use cardboard don't rev the engine you may **** the cardboard into the engine.
I'm afraid with all the different types of choke controls I can't tell you how to fix your choke with out actually seeing it.

1997 Saturn SL1 very hard to start

jlwhelen,
I will suggest that perhaps the blue smoke is not purely oil. It sounds like you may have an ignition problem where the engine has a hard time firing until warmed. The blue smoke may be, at least in part, unspent fuel. I realize that a warm engine that uses oil will smoke blue, but excessively rich conditions on startup can result in a similar effect. If the choke circuit is delivering a little extra fuel from a dirty injector, the problem may be worse when starting from cold.
To remedy this, I would suggest a simple replacement of plugs and wires, as well as a fuel injector cleaner through the tank. I would bet money that these simple maintenance points would solve your problem.

Good luck!
