Most likely cause is the ignitor in the distributor, or the crank sensor. It may be something to try, or keep doing what you are doing till it fails completely.

Describe your 94 honda accord %2B new

The dealer is mistaken! Your problem is probably the PGMFI relay that is way up under the dash on the driver's side. It has "mitsuba" written on the side of it. They are a very common problem, so are the distributors. Replace the relay first before doing anything else. They are cheap and always fail so even if I'm wrong, you're going to need it soon anyway. The computers rarely fail.

Sometimes my 94 honda accord will stall going down the road, sometimes it will not start until i let it roll and put it back in park, can it be my neutral safety switch?

A Bad neutral safety switch will keep it from starting. I dont think it will stop it while going..Its only meant to keep you from starting the car in neutral. Try to see if autozone can give you a computer diognostic,.it's free of charge. If they geta code,.they will tell you whats wrong. If you cant get there just call lots of times they know just by what you tell them it's doing.

Cant fix timing on 94 honda civic because bottom crank shaft keeps turning

Clamp a vice grip on to the flex plate or flywheel(from underneath thru access cover)as tight as you can, turn the bolt on the lower pulley until it (vise grip) makes contact with the block. Now place a breaker bar on the bolt and break it loose, you'll probably need an extension on the breaker bar,the bolt has loctite and will be froze solid.Good luck!

Cant start my car. The check engine light comes on followed by the Drive 4 light which flashes over and over. The car turns over but fails to start. Other times while driving it the car will turn off with...

Hi

We need to know the sequence of flashes, eg 3 short 1 long as this is a code that can be looked up on the net and deciphered. Thats the great thing with Hondas, the Manufacturers have this easy code rather than having to plug in a diagnostic tool. This code will always repeat itself. Also some background prior to non start, eg was it jumpstarted.etc

94 Honda Accord with stopped mile counter

You will need to pull the speedometer out and have the odometer (u call mileage counter) repaired, the little drive gear that comes off the speedometer to operate the odometer has failed or broken.

94 protege dx sohc weak spark???????

I know ths is late, but I had the same problem. I replaced the plugs, plug wires, rotor & cap, ignition coil & then the entire distributor -- no change. What finally fixed the problem was a new "igniter" from a junkyard -- small device located on the bracket which holds the coil & fusebox. The old igniter was a bit corroded on the back from fumes from the battery. While I was at it, I also put in a new ignition condensor which is mounted on the same bracket -- but later determined that the old condensor was fine. A new igniter is expensive (>$100) but you can get one chepaly if you pull your own from a junkyard (I paid $7 for mine). Good luck.
