Question about 2002 Saturn S-Series
This is happening to me now. The idles as if it is about to stall. I have to keep my foot on the gas just to keep if from stalling. Also, I drive a manual, and noticed that I went into 4th gear during 30 on a back road which is odd. The engine light does not stay on, but the car drives fine when I hit the gas. The only strange thing I noticed is that sometimes it acts as if it will not shift or the it does not have enough gas t go faster The car has also been getting hot lately (during the summer). I have to run the heat just to keep the car cool. The car had a tune up in April of last year, and it did run dry on oil I for a short time as I spaced that..but since that time , the car has four quarts of oil in it. ..Any ideas?
This is my only car and since I am not working, I need to keep this car running. Thank you in advance for your help.

The MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor will create the ignition problems. Check your coolant. Make sure you keep set for 20° BELOW ZERO. It is also anti boil.
