Check for bent wheel bearing hub. Beyond that, have a runout test done on the rotors while on the vehicle.

If you want to be sure that the rotors are correctly aligned with the brakes/wheel bearings, you can have the rotors machined on the car. If it is the ABS system actuating while you are braking, this will also cause a shake/pulsation feeling. You most likely got a bad set of rotors, someone machined them wrong, or you have a bad hub in one of the wheel bearings.

Disconnect the connector at the ABS module or remove the ABS relay. Your ABS lights will be on. Test drive the car with the ABS disconnected to rule out the ABS Motor.

You installed warped rotors....it happens ....machine or replace rotors once again...There is a minimum thickness so be sure to install rotors that exceed this amount.

Severe Brake noise and shaking when applying brake at highway speed.

Sound like your front rotors are warped. Replace the front brake pads and rotors and that should take care of your problem. 4 thumbs up is appreciated if this helps.

Steering wheel shake when braking

The usual cause for this is because the brake rotors on your Stratus have warped slightly. In the old days, it was easy enough to simply change the brake pads and then have the rotors "turned" (machined) so they turn true. Nowadays, finding a place to have your rotors machined isn't all that easy, though you may just get lucky. It's usually around $10/rotor. Replacing the rotors sometimes seems to be the only option. You'll be able to find them at Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, etc., and usually run around $30/each. Of course, while you have the brake calipers removed to remove the rotors, you may want to go ahead and put a new set of brake pads on there as well. You'll notice an immediate difference in braking once you get back on the road, without all that incessive shaking to a stop!

I hope this helps! :)

I can't get back brakes on a 1995 Monte Carlo. I replaced the brake pads all around and put new line on the back. It had good brakes on the back when I started.

Have some one pump the break up and hold the peddle doun to the floor and take back break line loose and see if you are getting fluid to the back. if not you need to check lines for bends and clogs. And check the resivor for clogs and fluid. If you are then change the break cylinder It has gone bad.

Frt rotors replace 2001 monte carl along with pads steerin wheel shakes while braking why?

You may need to re-machine those rotors as there is most likely excessive run out or warpage present causing the steering wheel to shimmy while braking. There is a limit on how much can be shaved off the rotors as these warp easier the thinner they get. I have seen replacement rotors with problems right out of the package. The only realistic way to check if one or both are wavy is to chalk them up on a lathe and see how much run out is present on the rotors.

Shake in front end

yes that is a very common feeling in warped rotors, if you feel the brake pedal the pulsing then you defintly have warped rotors, replace rotors and brake pads, never reuse pads when they have been in contact with a warped rotor, they will cause the new rotors to warp also

Problem replacing brake pads

Try twisting it 90 degrees or screwing it in (the piston) , on some cars there is a nut you take out of the back of the caliper and there is an allen key inside (hand brake tensioner) turn that. Other cars you just push in with a clamp. It has to be one of those three.

Brake warning light on

If you have an abs brake system, you need a code scanner hooked up to it to pin point why the light is on.Autozone can do this, if you have one near you.
