No not major !! Locate the upper radiator hose and follow it to the engine the thermostat is located at the connection to the engine in the metal housing that the hose is hooked to, Just remove the two bolts that hold the housing on and remove the old thermostat scrap off the old gasket and replace the thermostat and gasket also use silicone sealant on the new gasket and now re-install the housing on the engine!! Check coolant level and refill if needed ! Check for leaks if none then you are good to go!! swampratt200 AAAEEE!!!!

Need to replace the blower motor, and it's not a major undertaking!! The motor is actually easy to get to. You unplug it, remover 4 screws, and it comes right out. Slide new one in, plug wires back together and you are done. 20 minutes.

Installing piloet bearring in flywheel

Hi Snale, The bearing is located inthe center of the fly wheel. To gain acsess means removing the gearbox, clutch assembly and flywheel. Gain access from the back of the flywheel. Tap out the failed bearing, fit in the replacement and refit the flywheel. Make sure to torque the fly wheel bolts to the required specs. This is a major undertaking and even though the bearing is very small the job is very big. Regards John

How do you replace the AC/Heater blower fan?

First check the relay. It is behind where you fill the washer fluid. take the black cowling off then remove the washer tank and there it is. We changed the fan (major undertaking) and it would work then not. After taking it apart again we discovered the relay switch. it is also way cheaper to fix

1996 Toyota Avalon. AC was only blowing hot, had it recharged now it works great unless it's really hot out then it only blows hot. Any suggestions?

Most places nowadays that recharge dont deal with older systems so I doubt they did the proper job that you expected them to. They would need to replace the AC unit and the Frion which is a fairly major undertaking.

How to fix a head gasket for 02 dodge intrepid

Do you mean replace the head gasket -- you can't fix them, you have to put in a new one. That requires removing the cylinder head(s), which requires removing the intake plenum, disconnecting the exhaust manifolds, and on the DOHC 2.7L engine, removing the timing chain -- a major undertaking. If you're asking how to do this, you probably should have a professional mechanic do it. It's not a simple job.

Airconditioner not working

Visit your closest Auto Zone if you have one. If there is a part available through their store they will also give you directions on the installation. If not then possible purchase a repair manual for up to like 24 dollars and this may have the instructions for it. Question is it ONLY your AC. Or the entire control panel related to heating and cooling?
