I have a 2003 Ford Focus lx and the clutch pedal has no resistance on it and it will not go into gear. Please help I need this car to get to work

Check the clutch fluid level. It will be a small reservoir close to the brake master cylinder. If the clutch reservoir is empty, add fluid.( brake fluid ) You may have to perform a bleed procedure at the clutch slave cylinder attached to the transmission Pump the clutch pedal several times and have someone open the bleeder screw until fluid comes out and the clutch pedal has its resistance back

Why is my clutch sticking to the floor and why won't it shift into gear when the car is on?

Ok Matt,I got you covered, when your clutch master cylinder goes empty, your clutch slave is leaking and not holding pressure, you can fill reservoir and bleed to get you home,I've did it in my 85 nissan 720 4x4 before, you can have someone pump clutch pedal a few times and hold to floor and you open bleeder valve at slave cylinder till air is gone, just don't let resevoir get low. Here is a link to bleeding, your slave cylinder is bolted to side of transmission with 2 bolts.Be careful and don't strip bleeder screw, you can get part at Autozone, also get dot 3 brake fluid, this autozone iis not showing a guide to replace, here's one from a 85 nissan, very similar.

Clutch fluid leak

Well, it's something any everyday do it yourselfer would take on. ( What portion of the 99% are we?)
The important thing is to stop the leak. It is the reason you are grinding gears (cringe!), and could quickly lead to expensive damage. Clutch (or brake) fluid is a hydraulic fluid, which works under pressure. A leak lowers pressure and reduces the effectiveness of your clutch. So to avoid the cost of a new or rebuilt transmission, stop the leak!
You need a few tools, of course....honestly, let a mechanic review your work after you fix the leak, because likely the clutch system will need to be bled down at the transmission to restore it to full efficiency.

Did you bleed the air out of the system, also if empty there a leak some where. bleed system and check for leak's, look around for wetness could be a bad slave cylinder, clutch master or the line from clutch master to slave cylinder.

Unsure if empty reservoir is for clutch.

If it is a bright green, it is probably antifreeze, the reservoir for that is usually around 1/2 to 1 gallon. If it is about a cup to pint size, it may be clutch fluid. It should smell about the same as brake fluid. Usually clear or brownish clear in color.

Clutch will not disengage

Check the reservoir on the firewall near the master cylinder. If the reservoir is empty fill it with brake fluid and pump the clutch and bleed the air out on the side of the transmission.
