I`ve just taken a look at the manual and the sender unit is obviously inside the gas tank. To get the electrical connections to the outside of the tank, the sender unit has a plug on it which connects to a socket mounted on the inside of the large seal ring that the sender is mounted on. On the outside of the ring is another plug that connects the cars wiring loom to the sender unit. You may have to hard wire the unit to the cars wiring if you`ve purchased the wrong one and can`t return it back or get the correct replacement. Ian

Could you not use the original mounting plate with the correct plug on it that connects to the cars wiring loom and hard wire the sender and pump unit to the plate on the inside?? I would be tempted to do this so that if this unit fails, if you can obtain the correct original part, you don`t have to mess around with the cars wiring again. Ian

How to replace filler line on gas tank, mainly the connection to the tank, what kind of fitting how done?

it is fastened on to the tank with the same type of fastener that is at the gas cap. you probably have to clean the dirt around the hose to see the clamp holding the filler hose to the tank. sometimes you have to cut this clamp and use a new one, it should be like a large version of a rad hose clamp.

Did a tune up, new plugs, wires, pcv valve and oil change. I wa gettimg almost 400 miles to a tank of gas, now after I did tune up I am lucky to get 280 miles to my full tank of gas. Not sure why, thinking...

Maybe you should do it next time!! Could be a crossed wire, but it would run really bad and might backfire as well. Wrong plugs? Accidently disconnected or broke a vacuum line or fitting. Wrong oil? Oil and/or additives that are higher in viscosity than specified, will reduce mileage, period. Have the oxygen sensors checked. They can gas mileage to suffer as well....maybe one got bumped or something.

Gas gauge is not working, how do I fix?

either the gauge in the cluster is bad or the sender in the gas tank is bad. look on youtube for videos of folks removing clusters and dropping gas tanks and figure out which you want to try first. my experience the sender usually is the bad guy. this is simply a flotation device in the tank which rides on the top of the gas, sends a signal. if you do the sender, make sure you also replace the fuel pump while you are in there as it is 10 years old

1/ Have you fitted the spark plug leads in the proper firing order.
2/ Look inside the top of distributor Top (this is not the first time a new distributer cap has very small crack) or the rotor arm is fitting the cap properly. Hope this helps Best Wishes, Malcolm Campbell.

How to fit a fuel pump to a 1993 toyota camry wagon 4 cyl

You have to remove the gas tank .First lossen the gas cap to remove the pressure. the fuel pump is inside the tank. The tank has two bands that are bolted in place . Siphon out the gas from the tank. The tank will come down . remove the wiring plug from the tank. You can now remove the ring surrounding the fuel pump. Take off the old pump and replace it with the new one. be sure to notice how you took off the electronic plug. reinstall it. Replace the tank and refill it with gas. it should work . you may have to work the fuel pump around to install it.

I put a 91 engine in to 88 body every thing fit but my engine wont start

Only three possiblities. no gas, no spark, or the timing of the 2. So first follow the full lines and disconnect and turn on the ignition. That will start the full pump. you should see gas flow. Next remove a plug wire and dont hold it but place it near a plug or anything metal on the engine. You should see a spark when cranking the car. Finally its the timming of the two. remove spark plug from number 1 cylinder, with a wrench turn the crank shaft around untill the cylinder comes to top dead center. Look through the spark plug hole you should see the piston top. Now take off the distrbuter cap and look to see which terminal the rotor is touching. follow the wire and make sure it is the same wire that goes to the number 1 cylinder. Of course if the distributor rotor isnt rotating then of course your timing belt is broke. Good Luck.

Fuel like issue; nissan sunny (sentra) b14

First from the fuel tank in side the fuel tank there is filter remove the screws on the top where the fuel gauge fitted when you remove gauge you can see fillter that is one sometimes blocked.

Next if you check fuel filter it is ok, but nissan sunny has fuel filter inside the caburator where fitted fuel pipe from the fillter clean that filler.

ather thiing is check your connections any leak or loose.

Hard top wiring

I'm guessing that the top and Jeep are 2 different years.
You need to go to a salvage or junk yard to find the same plug and cut the other one off and splice in the one you buy from the junk yard.

Gas leak

There are gas tank rebuilding/coating places where they can fix your tank and attach new connections to it.Check out that option if you are having trouble finding a better tank?
