Question about 1995 Dodge Dakota

1995 dodge dakota. Wipers switch only clicks

1995 dodge dakota. When wipers turned on there is only a click in the intermittent relay switch. I tested the wiper motor for power and find power only when I ground to the battery. When I tried to add a new ground from the wiper motor to the vehicle I only burn fuses. I have replaced the wiper motor, the intermittent relay switch and the wiper/turn signal switch to no avail.

. You stated could be a logic board inside the motor assembly. I have a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. wipers do not work. Motor is only 4 months old. Could this still be an issue? estimate of cost?

No logic board inside the wiper motor . The wiper's have two relays that control them by way of the BCM - body control module . Wiper on relay and wiper high low relay . Both are located in the power distribution center in the engine bay . The wiper / washer switch is a input to the BCM . Check the relay's or swap them out for new one's . Or check out videos on youtube on testing relays . If not the relays could be the switch , wiring or the BCM . Having the BCM check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes would be a good idea .
Do you know what a wiring diagram is . Free here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on body & accessories then under the subsystems click wipers/washer's .View the diagram to see what all is involved in making the wipers work.

98 Dodge Dakota Sport -- Blinkers do not work, but Hazards do. They have a mind of their own... SOMETIMES they work for a few turns. Fuses and relays are fine. Believe it may be the turn signal switch, but...

Believe it may be the turn signal switch, but wipers still work--is this possible, Yes Wiper switch is separate , has it's own inner working's . Could be the switch or the combination flasher ! Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? This how to fix electrical problems , not guessing . Find a wiring diagram here

2002 dodge dakota. Wiper timer problem. More info... started when I hit the wash button. Usually the wipers will go for a few seconds... then turn off. They stay on. I changed the wiper motor, switch in...

The problem here is the wiper motor itself, theres a cuircut board on the back of the motor, this is what goes bad and controls the wipers, you will need to replace the motor to replace this board, i think they should be replaced in a pair, this will solve your problem, , hope this helps.

Dakota 2002. Wiper timer keeps wipers going after I shut off wipers with switch. I changed the switch on steering column and wiper motor. Did not fix problem. Has to be another part I need to change.

There is a relay usually under the hood. You can listen with the engine off and turn the wipers to delay and you should be able to hear the relay make a clicking sound. The relay is sticking. Just replace the relay and should solve your problem.

Windsheild wipers not working, tried another wiper motor and fuses are ok am i missing a inline fuse or do i have to replace the switch?

could be the switch.but if it has intermittent wipers i think, not sure though, that that year has an intermittent wiper modul at base of steering column or near there. if it does unplug the two connectors to it and plug them into each other.if they now work then a new module is needed. but you dont need to replace it, you just wont have intermittent
