Anywhere between 3 to 6 hours. All depends on if you have all the proper required tools and condition of hardware.

There are many factors to consider, seized bolts/nuts, standard struts or modified. Will you disconnect lower control arms. And other components. A short as 3 hours or as long as 5 or 6. Then, if you have marked components, may or may not need front wheel alignment.

How do you replace front. Shocks on a 97 mercury sable

Mercury Sables have struts in the front. This can be a very dangerous job. The car needs to be supported with jack stands. Removal of the strut can be dangerous when the spring is removed. Unless you are a competent mechanic i would not recommend this project.

Shock absorber for nissan presage2003

As far as I can tell, you cannot.
Nissan and the other auto makers stopped using front shock absorbers on their cars about 30 years ago.
Now they use a combination shock and spring holder, etc. called a "strut".
Into your computer type "Presage" and do some serious looking,
You might be able to order parts for them from somewhere like Japan, China, or some such country in the far east.
Honestly, the cars imported by Nissan into this country almost never need front struts, even as old as yours.
However, repair garages still tell people they need them, because the repair garages need to make money to stay in business.

Replace alternater

Alternator, Replace
Vehicle: 2007 Nissan Versa SL 1.8 L4 GAS
Remove front passenger wheel. To the right of the shock/spring housing you'll see two plastic pins. This holds the splash shield in place, remove them & open the splash shield. Using a 14mm wrench, put it at about 4 o'clock on the spring tensioner arm & pull down. This relives tension on the belt, slide the belt off the wheel that's to the right of tensioner. Go under the hood, using a 10mm socket disconnect neg side of terminal on the battery. These other steps are to allow room to work & space to remove alternator. Next remove the 2 bolts on the nissan plastic engine cover housing & the engine cover housing BRACKET that's located at the front LEFT corner of the valve cover. Unbolt ground strap that's located on the cars frame right behind the left headlight, in addition left to ground bolt, unbolt the bracket that supports the a/c line. Remove radiator reservoir tank, disconnect belt & wires from the alt. The two 13mm bolts on the alt use a wrench. When loosen then use a 1/4 ratchet with a 13mm socket. Slide bolts out as FAR as possible. Now you should be able to wiggle out alt & bolts as one piece. I had to use a long screw driver/bar to dislodge alt. Install in reverse order. Total time took me about an hour.

Locate your petrol tank, then at top of it there is a hole where you can get access to the float level switch, before you removed it you check the socket on it, maybe lose connection.

Front shocks

Yes you can, remove the electric harness to the shock when you replace them. Disconnect the same at the connector, if permanently not worrying about electric shocks clip the connections and ensure no water gets in the clipped wireds by sealing them with silicon or remove the whole harness from the area.
