Why are the tail lights not working even though the fuses are good?

Either the power wire or the ground wire is not making a proper connection. You will have to trace them out. It will be easiest if you do this from the back of the car, because that is most likely where the problem will be.Check all the connection carefully and make sure you have bare shiny metal to metal contact. also look carefully for bare wire with the insulation missing. Tape these spots up with electrical tape.

Battery hooked up wrong

Disconnect the main battery to alternator wire and check again.
NOTE: DO NOT FORGET TO INSULATE THE REMOVED WIRE WITH INSULATING TAPE DURING THE TEST.
The diode rectifiers in the alternator may have become shorted due to the reverse polarity.

I have a non hybrid 2012 Toyota Camry that just had the front bumper cover, drivers side fender, and the drivers side headlamp replaced due to a slight collision. After the repairs were completed the...

the wiring loom that is near the collision damage area needs to be checked. I would suggest getting insulation tape black. Then carefully cut the old insulation tape on the loom and see if there is damage to any of the wires and a possible bare wire touching another bare wire. Putting insulation tape on the bare wires if found and then retape up the wiring loom should fix the issue unless the wires are broken then you need to solder the wire togwether and then insulation tape The color of the wire at the headlight would be the wires you should look for in the loom.

Toyotacorolla 2007

The electronic fuel injection system in your 2007 Toyota Corolla is an extremely technologically advanced, computer controlled, engine fueling system that consists of hundreds of parts, sensors, solenoids, relays and electrical circuits. It also consists of a computer-controlled pump as well as high-pressure lines and fittings that deliver the fuel from the fuel tank to the injectors. The computer system that controlls your fuel injection system has nearly 100,000 times the computing ability of the computers that were on the Apollo space craft that put put man on the moon.
To say something as simple as "fuel injection problem" and expect a viable "solution" for your problem is like saying "water problem" at Niagra Falls and expecting somebody to fix it for you.

What kind of "fuel injection" problem? Have you tried interfacing with the computer that controls your fuel injection system? If so, what did it tell you? If not, that would be a real good place to start.

providing its not rust then put jack under front end of the seal ,if you have a trolley jack then go for chassis a bit further under ,but i dont think you get much of a corrosion problem in aussie unlike the UK or germany

Need to access power window motor . window won't roll up.

Remove inner door trim panel. Remove plastic insulation. Wedge or duct tape your window. So when you separate the window and its tracks, It wont slide down and break. Remove window regulator and tracks
then start separating the window motor from the tracks.
Test for power and ground first and the connector and the switch. Before you condemn the motor.

Fuse Link For Fuel Pump - 1994 GMC S-15

Fuseable link is coming of the battery terminal.

Open the hood of the GMC Jimmy. Check and clean both terminals.

You will need a DVM meter to do the test.

The simple way is to disconned the negative cable and ohm out each fusible link that extent from the positive connector.

You job will be a lost easier if you have a probe that can pintch though the insulation.

Otherwise you can strip a little insulation off and get the ohm reading and tape this secetion back with electrical tape.

Take your time and check all the fusible link.

If this is the first time your doing eletrical trobuleshoot then please ask someone to guide you along.

Please post the out come via the comment page. I will follow up on it later.

Cigarrette lighter (front) in 2002 ford explorer - all fuses good. Key inside lighter caused a spark and it doesn't work.

Look in your manual for the Power Distribution Box reference in Roadside Emergencies, page 210. It should be located under the hood on the driver's side. My 2002 Explorer has two power points on the center console and the 20A fuses in the Power Distribution Box for them are number 7 and number 9. They cost $3.99 each at AutoZone. The cigar lighter fuse under the dash is unrelated.

Emmision test failed?

It is possible that the scan tool that the shops are using, is powered independently from the OBD11 connector, but the testing station relies on the connector for power and if the fuse for it is blown, they get no data and you fail.
I've attached a picture of the connector and where you should see 12 volts. Get a test light and check this pin, if you have no power between this pin and ground, you either have a blown fuse or a wiring problem5243d31.jpg
