It is a bummer that your chimney isn't working. It sounds like there could be a blockage of some sort, but I don't know what it could be. Have you considered hiring a professional chimney cleaning service? It seems like this could be a job that wouldn't be too hard for somebody who knows what they are doing. Good luck!

Dangerous to use the chimney unless you inspect it. Also install a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm f there is none in the rental.
Chimneys are usually slow to draw if the house is unheated or very cool. Still, have the chimney checked and if needed, cleaned and have the landlord pay for it if they will. don-ohio (:^)

Lately we have been experiencing blue smoke at start up and loss of coolant in 2004 ford explorer eddie bauer

You need to find out where you are leaking fluid at. Check all your hoses and clamps. Make sure it is not leaking there. It may be from inside the engine. The engine has to have coolant at all times or it is going to cause damage.

I have a 04 ford 6.0 diesel . I have a miss in the engine . A computer check says number 7 cylinder imbalance .I removed #7 injector and # 3 and switched thier locations . The problem stayed with # 7...

Time for a compression check. That is very new to already have a serious problem, but I suppose you could have a cracked ring or head gasket leak.
By the way, diesels require a special compression gauge because they are much higher than gasoline engines. Perhaps you can rent one at Autozone?

I have a 98 Hyundai Excel, the engine seems to run fine and smooth but it puffes smoke like a chimney, and deposits a liquid i am not sure what it is and i also treated the fuel. the colour of the smoke...

It more than likely needs a rebuild but you can try certain oil additives that restore compression. "Restore" is on product. There are several others that work as well.

Need to tow 1999 F250 about 150 miles home. What

If you have a stick shift, you rent a 2 wheel tow dolly and run the front tires onto it and strap it down. Put the truck in neutral and away you go.
If you have an Automatic you want all 4 wheels on a flatbed or tow trailer. You rent a car hauler trailer and piggyback the truck onto the trailer. A good rental will know the weight and rent you the right trailer.

Excessive black smoke when accelerating

Black smoke means way too much fuel going through. May be stuck open injector(s) or a very dirty air cleaner. Might also be a defective O2 sensor. If you have the check engine light on, rent a scanner and read out any trouble codes. They will point to problem areas or an actual problem.

Honda Accord 1994 V4 LX: Starting problems in the morning

There could be a few things causing this. When the car finally starts, is there any smoke coming out the exhaust pipe? White smoke would mean your headgasket is leaking and is letting coolant into the engine, then it is burned along with the fuel. Does the car run hot? Meaning has it ever overheated? Back to the smoke, if its black, your oil is getting in and is burning.

Now, the reason why it would be hard for a car to start, could be, a leaking headgasket, flooding the car while the car is sitting.

And yes, the car would be able to crank, but just wont start, for a while...because it has to get rid of all that fluid that has leaked into the engine while sitting at night.

Another thing you could look at, is your fuel pump, is it supplying a sufficient amount of pressure? If it isnt, it will take a while for it to pressurize and deliver fuel into the engine. You can check the fuel pump yourself by renting a fuel pump pressure tool from stores like autozone, kragen and more.

Your gas cap on tightly?

Good luck with your problem.
