Grinding noise coming from rear drivers side

It could be many things. I'd start by putting the car on four jack stands and try to spin the wheel and listen to the bearings. See if the wheel has play in it by putting a large bar under the tire and moving the tire up and down and seeing if there is an amount of play or "klunking" during the movement. Then remove the wheel, inspect the inside the rim and see if there are metal shavings anywhere on the rim or the brake drum. Then and then remove the brake drum and see if the springs and "bits" are in the proper places or laying in the bottom of the drum. Check the play on the wheel bearings by flexing the axle shaft. There could be shock issues or loose or missing support straps or rusted out frame parts. Good luck.

I have a rover75classic 54 it is leaking water when it rains on near side is it a useual fault

Had same problem. Lift up rear seat on drivers side and you will see a steel tube running from the wheel arch under the seat. Tube is about 2 inches wide. If this is rusted underneath then water is getting via the wheel arch open end of the tube. It runs into the rear foot well and forward into drivers footwell, also runs under rear seats and into the boot! I removed the rear drivers side wheel, pulled away the plastic wheel arch lining then sealed the hole where the wiring leads through this pipe. Covered it with plastic flashing replaced the wheel arch lining. Took 30 mins to repair, took a week to dry the carpet, rear seats and boot carpet.

Have a chirping sound on drivers side of car while driving, sounds like its coming from either front or rear tire area. its a 2000 mercury grand marquis.

front or rear? thats a big area to narrow it down to. I would suspect the universal joints to "chirp" it may make more noise backwards or forwards.

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the round fog lamps. Drivers side is not working, how do I acceess the bulb to replace it?

if you remove the driver side wheel, look the the front of the wheel arch you will see a plastis cover around the wheel arch, pull out the round push-in fasteners at the front part only, the rear of the foglamp is situated there. there is a rubber cover that needs removed to access the bulb..
hope this helps

When braking in our 1993 pontiact grand am there

Check to see if the rear strut is worn out. These cars are known for the strut to get dirt and water inside (normally there's a protective boot but they deteriorate in time) and it literally grinds the strut to where it gets very loose and wobbly. Also, the top mount rusts away causing the strut to bang around. Hope this helps!

two things you must address, first the tires may need rotating, 4WD cars need all tires to be close to the same size or conflicts in gearing occur, second change the oil in the rear axle this can cause noisy operation.
