How do i adjust hand break new shoes fitted on a smart for two hand break lever is all the way uo ?

Adjusting the Hand Brake is quite easy

At the bottom of the Hand Brake Lever , you will see the cable with like nuts (teeth) on the cable locked by the lock on the lever it self, you will need to open the lock , take the cable off the lock , drop the handle down and put the cable back on the lever and lock it.

That is how the hand brake is adjusted on the Smart car 2002 model

My break light swithes on sometimes without me even pressing the breaks. The break light also sometimes stays on even when I have taken my feet off the break. I have tried changed the break light switch...

Did you adjust the brake light switch correctly? To adjust the brake light switch, first press the brake pedal down a few inches, then pull the switch plunger rod out of the switch toward the brake pedal arm, as far as you can without using excessive force. Next, return the brake pedal to the pedal stop position against the pedal stop and pull the brake pedal toward the rear to push the brake light switch actuating plunger rod into the switch housing limited by the travel of the brake pedal arm rear travel stop position. This procedure automatically adjusts the brake light switch correctly.
If the brake lights still don't turn off with the brake pedal released, check the brake pedal arm for sticking or binding that is preventing the brake pedal arm from returning fully to the pedal stop when the brake is released.

How do I take the wheel hub off a 1990 toyota corona. I'm trying toreplace the brake shoes but can't get into the thing.

The break adjuster needs to be loosened of to remove the hub.You will find this on the inner side of the rock guard or inner break axel which will be a rubber insert or if it is missing just a hole on the inner side of the break housing............Use a proper break adjuster or common screwdriver to loosen the bread shoes off and the housing will come off for you................Perswasion and strength are the key.........After the first one,the next one makes you feel good...........Good luck and all the best..........Hope this helps you out.

GMC 2003 Envoy SLT my back break lights and tailbar lights stay on when I turn the car off. What could the problem be?

This most likely is a bad or incorrectly adjusted brake light switch. The brake light switch is located under the dash next to the brake pedal arm.

Break goes down lower then normal but the breaks stop the car , my break light came on last week but i added break fluid and then my break light went off then it was ok but i could not start my car becouse...

I it is usually the brake shoe adjusters at the rear.

Auto adjust type:
To adjust them you can hold your foot hard down on the brake pedal and wrech up the park brake lever a few times

Manual adjust
Drums off and wind the adjuster cog to increase the diametre of the shoes, don't get carried away thow or the drum wont go back on

Adjust rear brakes on a 2000 saturn ls

The rear breaks have self adjusters on them. If you put the car in reverse and pump the breaks this should adjust the breaks. These are drum breaks correct?
