The heater only blows on full blast, the first three positions on the button does not work. the car is an 2006 Chevy Aveo LS hatchback

In the heater plenum behind the glove box you should find a 4 or 5 wire connector. That is called the heater resistor it has a series of different thickness springs and controls the Resistance to ground. That is what controls fan speed. First check the connector for melting if so you need to replace the connector and resistor if not remove the two screws holding the resistor in place and remove the resistor, you should find the springs are broken and replace the resistor. Note there are a couple of other things that can cause this problem but 99% of the time its this.

1992 honda accord radio and ac stopped working

Make sure your fan is working properly. When you turn on the heater you are forcing the fan to cool the radiator. It may not be turning on automatically when it is supposed to. Let us know if this helps..

The front heater temp control isnt working. full cold there isnt any heat but when i turn the temp control just one notch it puts out full heat. there is no control its either on or off

Hi,
That sounds like your resistor block/controller is already shorted to hi fan speed.
Replace the resistor controller, located behind the glove box compartment, on the heater & A/C blower box.
You can't miss it, it has 3 wirings and a connector.

Hope that helps!

No heat

your blower motor resistor needs to be replaced if you only have one speed its a small inexpensive part runs about 15 dollars easy to replace.

Heater control fan only works on speed 5. Removed heater control, what does the resistor look like? I'm asuming it's not a regular electronic resistor right?

Your looking for the blower resistor. Its on the passenger side under the dash. Two of the wires go the the blower motor. The wire connector and the resistor can burn or corrode. The replacement is easy two screws hold the resistor in and the connector can be replace with **** connectors.

for the fan blower motor it could be the resistor or the fan control speed control switch is bad.for no lights replace the DRL RELAY for the lights. for the heated seats check the fuses.

Replace the temp control on this car, it should be electrical control not cables.
