Because you are in default of payment is the only way. Perhaps your credit card expired, perhaps you ignored their phone calls, emails and letters. The only way to find out is to them Pat, because it certainly wasn't Fixya that disconnected you.

Here is some more information for you.

Why did disconnecting the battery cables not reset my service light and turn it off ? ? My service light is on and will not go off.

The "service light" dont reset when disconnected the battery; for each specific year and model you have one specific procedure to reset it. Send us details about your year and model or contact your dealer.

Car wont start after replacing radiator hose. its almost like motor has no compression

Well, that makes no sense about the compression. Check for a disconnected sensor. Usually when something like this happens either a sensor that was disconnected from the harness was forgotten on re-assembly or it was accidentally disconnected by an elbow when the hose was being changed. If the radiator hose was the only thing serviced and nothing was wrong before the service I would bet that something got disconnected. Look all around for a loose or disconnected electrical connector.

Reset service engine light

Hello. There are only two ways to reset the service engine light:
1. Have your car's computer scanned and ask the tech. to reset the system. [AAMCO repair shops and some auto parts stores do this for free].
2. Disconnect the battery for two full minutes.
