Busted oil pan now can wont start tryed cranking to start

Did you replace the oil pan? many new cars have an oil level sensor and will not start if they read low oil so as to prevent the motor from seizing from too much heat and friction/wear.

1992 cadillac deville leaking oil at dipstick

I would look for other leaks. If you are sure it's leaking at the dipstick tube, there is normally an o-ring where the tube presses into the engine. In general, this is an odd place for a leak, as ther eshould be no oil pressure in the pan (where the tube terminates) and unless the engine is overfilled with oil, the tube end shouldn't be immersed in oil to leak. IF there is pressure in the oil pan, that generally indicates bad rings. I have seen engines where the oil dipstick actually pops out of the tube under pressure when the engine is running due to pressure in the oil pan from blow-by at the rings.

well if u have never changed oil i would reccoment bringing it to someone to do it but anyways you will need a oil filter wrench an oil drain pan and some wrenches. 1st your going to have to jack up the front of the car fron the proper lift points and thn bring the oil drain pan with you and also take ur wreches. Look for the oil pan its mostlikely black and its going to be on the bottom of ur engin, thers a bolt in the bottom of it find the wrench for it losten the bolt and bring the drain pan under where the bolt it now take the bolt compleatly out and clean it off while the oil drains. onece it is drained put the bolt back in and make it a 1/2 turn past tight. now look on ur motor for some thing that looks like a small coffee can thats ur oil filter it twist off and be carefull because it is filled eith oil you also will have to dain this in the pan then clean off the area where the filter was connected then put on new filter and put oil into your car until the dip stick reads full..... good luck

How to change oil pan seal

start the car and let run for 2 minutes just to warm the oil and make it a little thinner, turn car off. now if you cant get under the car jack ther car up, and let the vehicle rest on jack stands. drain the oil from the oil drain plug which should be on the bottom of the oil pan. once the oil is drained replace the oil drain bolt and tighten it. then remove all of the bolts that keep the oil pan in place. should be around 6 of them. remove oil pan and scrape off the old seal with a clean scraper. place new seal on, and replace the pan. put the bolts back on tightly and refill the engine oil to specified amount. check to be sure there is no leak on the oil pan. turn vehicle on and let the car run for a few minutes. make sure there is still no leak.

Blown tire hit the car

i would highly recommend getting it checked out by either a shop or someone you personally know and trust that has auto knowledge... the black oil leak is most likely engine oil... the light and thin aluminum manufacturers use now days can break under just the right conditions... heat and stress... when the tire piece went under your car it may have hit your oil pans(engine and transmission.. red oil) and caused either the pan gaskets to leak.. or maybe even the pans them selves to get cracks... hopefully it's just the gaskets... not too hard to fix and ALOT less costly then new pans... as for the light .. no clue what it's supposed to be...but good luck
