2001 expedition crank but won't star

You check the basics, if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes? What about your security system, where applicable?

This is a 94 v6 grand cherokee problem.... after l star the engine and drive it for a while it wont star back on

Does it crank at all? If not, its a bad starter motor. It will only work when cold. The starter heats up and stops working. Let it sit for an hour and works again.

99 gmc will not crank play with the igination and it will start

It's possible that it's an ignition switch problem.... but, odds don't favor that... I would say that it would be more likely a starter solenoid problem... which basically means you'd need a new starter. The problem could also be a loose electrical connection to the starter. I'd recommend checking and cleaning the connections down on the starter before buying anything. However, my money would be bet on it being a new starter you need.

Truck ran fine set for an hour or so come back would not star 3 attempts waited for a little while cranked up. went out this morning would not crank up 5 attempts.Notice batt. was dragging went and had it...

Most of your discription would indicate a bad starter,
if your talking about the engine turning over or cranking

Some people call a no start or no ignition, a not cranking
situation, which is a wrong statement.

You may have a bad fuel pump, if the motor turns
over but won't start.

1996 lincoln town car well crank but wont start. these happend same time last year had 2 replace 2 sensors but we had somone else do it so dont now what sensors or were they are. or if its that.

The crank sensor wires may be oil soaked, try moving them a little and see if it will start. It's beside the crank pulley on the passenger side. Got my lincoln started that way.

After sitting overnight, car takes 30 seconds of cranking to start. After this, it starts right up unless it sits for 8 or more hours. Why?

Unlikely time is a factor here, unless heat plays a role.
You probably have a Dirty Gas Filter or Bad Fuel Pump
