SOURCE: Replaced compressor on 2007 Kia Sereno and compressor wont kick on. What's the problem? Please help.

ac compressors are controlled by relays , switches , high and low pressure switches and fuses
replacing the ac compressor will require the gas charge to be administered as too little or too much will affect the high/low pressure switches
have it inspected by an accredited ac specialist shop for a proper diagnosis and a quote

you need to check the pressure of the system if the system is a little low on freon it will cycle more also if the cooling fan is not working the pressure will raise and also shut off

You must have the dealer run a test of the system to see if any problems show up as fault codes.

'99 windstar w/rear ac help. Blows but not cool. Compressor doesn't kick in. Clutch plate doesn't work.

most likely fault is its low on gas ,as it has a rear AC then it will hold around 1.2/1.5 kgs of gas

What is the pressure when the compressor running? should be between 25-35 PSI no more then that cause it wont get cold and might even say low on freon.

you should be adding the 134a to the system the low pressure switch is doing its job by not allowing the compressor to kick on, it wont kick on until there is enough 134a in the system to be above the preset pressure for the low pressure switch.

There is a low limit switch and when the Freon is too low, it opens and wont let the compressor come on.
