Door locks on 2005 Jag xk8 not working. Cant close doors

It could need fault codes erasing and defaults restoring with diagnostic equipment but the symptom you describe could equally be caused by the internal switch in one of the door catches that tells the brain the doors are closed.
If the brain doesn't receive a door closed signal from each door and the boot lid it will not allow the central door locking to operate.

I suggest you check the owner's handbook for user information and then reassure yourself all the doors are closing and correctly adjusted.
This is something freezing weather can affect.

2008 honda accord air will not work ,has freon ,relay works but compressor will not kick on.

#1 top A/C post here ever. bravo that.
this is caused by by the AC brain.
(location varies by year, and country)
A/C brain discrete, cira 90s
to after 2007 , they moved the brain, now pure software inside
the ECU or BCM , on most cars.
it really dont matter much where it is until you get to back probe the bugger. right?
so , here is the reasons for A/C clutch dead.

1:clutch bad, apply 12v to it see if it works (wires discon, please)
do so for on 1second, so as not damage system.
check for coil ohms near 1ohm. at clutch.
infinity is bad coil.
OR do :
1b" 12v to coil AC on? any volt meter works. 11 to 15v typical.
13.3 to 14.7 running engine typical.
yes, clutch dead.
2: 12v not at coil of clutch bad relay.
3: relay coil not energized.
3a: power to relay not on coil, if yes, bad relay .
3b: relay coil dead. no power. the brain has it shut down!

4: the brain, stops the AC for all these reasons
simple answer , inputs wrong.
full answer:
a: too low freon pressure, in truth or sensor fibbing
b: too high freon pressure, same, reasons.
c: ENGINE over load, (pulling trailer or going WOT )
d: engine overheat. (ecu say so or AC has its own sensor saying so, RTM.
e: Evap core (the cold core in dash) has frozen over to a ice brick. (a freeze sensor is there) caused by stuck open expansion valve. in core.
f: no power to AC brain, 90s cars. or missing ground,
g: AC not on, or brain can not see fan going, usual the is just
the 12vdc to fan missing. or the wire fell off.

some cars have all this, my 96 does.
on newer cars the ECU can shut the AC down for many reasons.
most are related to safety to the driver, or Compressor.
for what reasons, only the FSM answers that , and varies
by year, engine type, model and country sold.
if in usa , you didnt say. then alldata dot com has these facts
and more , under section called HVAC.

The brain will not allow you to burn up the compressor or worse.
it tries very hard at that. even as old as 1991 cars. (some)
today all.

When i switch on my ac it give sounds bt colling is correct . is there any problemia clitch magnet

what gives a sound?
bt , what is Bt. but?
i think you meant, but cooling is not correct.?
you left out NOT?
that is ok, you must be using a CELL,

ok A.C school 101 (short)
it fails in 2 ways, electric or the Freon Loop.
2 ways. (one easy , 1 harder)
first pray it's electric (cheap and easy)

we always work that first. (electric, see why?)
the car has a A/C brain, it has many names but in English no tslang.
it is the "A/C logic module." or BRAIN.
This module protects the parts from damage, or overload.
old cars just melted. not smart cars. the brain is smarter.
My comments are typical of era.

So, you were smart, the clutch A/C, but failed to say,
IS IT ENGAGES, or NOT? the pulley spins all the time running.
but not the main shaft of the compressor, it must spin.
at full RPM !!! This is the brain DEMANDING A/C.
if not the BRAIN, has it turned off.
Keep in mind the brain on some cars is inside the BCM.
body brain, and not a separate A/C brain.
reasons for CLUTCH OFF.
the Brain sees and error , list of errors.
1: A\C not on.
2: fan not on (heater fan in cab shared by A/C)
3: evaporate frozen (packed in ice)
4: engine overload, (up hills, too steep)
5: engine overheat. obvious, but the sensor wire fell of can do that.
6: freon pressure too low, risking compressor destruction. and collateral damage max.
7: freon pressure too high.
8: normal, the brain sees normal cab temperature and cycles off.
saving fuel and wear.

what do i do? ,
use a volt meter to find the input that is wrong
to the brain. do not hot wire the clutch ever.
or risk #6 (i warned you, dont let hackers kill the good parts)

that is what we do.
if you find low pressure is true (logic true, ) then that is why.

the brain defeated the A/C due to that fact. a dead clutch .
check the pressure, mine reads 40psi, now.
my cheap walmart filler has a hose, and came with
simple instructions, read them and try that.
do not over fill the system.
$25 the kit costs. I keep one handy at all times.

What are the functions of the brain box in a car?

Well, there are several "brains" in your car, but most people are referring to the ECU (engine control unit) when they refer to the brain. The ECU interfaces with all of the engine management sensors and adjusts fuel, timing and other performance-related issues real-time as you drive. It uses algorithms written into its programming to make your engine run as efficiently as possible. It also detects problems with engine sensors and equipment and alerts you via the check engine light and the OBD hook-up.

Hope this is an answer to your question,
