2.2L Engine remove protective shields as needed then remove front exhaust pipe. Remove the brace from the engine to the clutch housing, then disconnect starter wiring. 4.3L Engine 2 wheel drive just remove the right front tire and you will have access to the wiring. 4.3L Engine 4 wheel drive you must remove the differential carrier shield if equipped then remove the starter bolts and rotate the starter to get access to the wiring. Yea as long as they are both manual transmissions everything will bolt up the same.If you use your old transfer case you will still have push button.

The ignition module in the distributor is what you need to give the engine spark to the plugs. It senses signals from the PCM to regulate the spark control and this item is the part that took over the old style point & condensor type ignitions. It is time for a new one in your truck
