Check on your console or under the dash for a neutral safety switch.

The selenoid on the starter ,the starter relay or just a bad connection ,look on your starter there should be 2 or tree wire ,there is a small one probably a gage 8 look to make shure it is plug!
other than that ...check your fuse!

That key reset it's code like every 60 secs... do you have other keys around it that are also for that car... if so they might both be changing codes at the same time.

Car won t start not battery

Sometimes just dirty or loose battery connections cause this...current is OK to lights radio etc...but not enough to engage the starter...Any clicking sound indicates low battery...no turning at all may be the starter...Hope the battery posts (clean & retighten) is the problem.

My VW golf TDi won't start since I changed my battery. It started fine for three days and now there is absolutely nothing there when I turn the key not even a click. Please help

1. Do all lights, accessories, central locking system etc in the car all operate normally.

2. Have you tested to see if the car starts when you try jump starting from another vehicle.

3. What warning lights were displaying on the vehicle a day or 2 before you had the problem.

4. Were you having the same starting problems with the old battery that you have just replaced.

2001 aurora won't start at all. Hook batery up horn horn sounds and doesn't stop head lights stay on but nothing happens when the key is inthe ingition. No clicking or anything at all. alarm on...

The security system does not disable the starter, it only disables fuel to the engine. In the fuse block under the hood, locate the STARTER relay. Place your hand on this relay and see if it clicks while someone else turns the key to start...if the relay is ok then the starter itself is faulty. Good luck, i hope this helps.

Car would not start....no cranking...no sound!!!!

Do you know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? You need to check volt on the starter circuit , ignition etc... Anything that controls the starter , relay , ignition switch . First looking at a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in starting the vehicle . You can find a wiring diagram at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Then under system click on engine , then under subsystem click on starting .Then click on the search button .Video's on youtube for testing starting circuit . Won't start

I would start by checking all the fuses, whether they are related or not. Also try swapping around relays, they are usually the same size/style. Also can you hear anything, the click from the starter, or anything else when you try to start. If you don't hear anything and feel like getting under the car you could bypass the starting system and manual jump the starter. Put car in park, take a piece of electrical wire, get to where you have access to the starter wires and use the wire to jump from the smaller wire to the big cable. They will be on two different terminals on the starter. By careful not to be around and pulleys/belts as the engine may crank. Leave the key off and the engine should crank. if it dosen't you have a problem with the starter. If it does crank you have a problem in the control circuit ie key switch, fuses, relays, etc.
