Where is the motor located for my rear quarter panel windows on my 05 Pontiac Montana SV6? And how do I test it?

Verify that the rear quarter windows are inoperative.
Do the rear quarter windows operate normally?

Are both rear quarter windows inoperative?
Go to Step 4 yes
Go to Step 6 no

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the rear quarter window switch.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Probe the accessory voltage circuit of the rear quarter window switch harness connector with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
yes Go to Step 5
no Go to Step 7

Connect a test lamp between the accessory voltage circuit of the rear quarter window switch harness connector and the ground circuit of the rear quarter window switch harness connector.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 8
Go to Step 10

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the appropriate rear quarter window actuator.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Connect a test lamp between the power window motor rear vents open control circuit of the rear quarter window actuator harness connector and the power window motor rear vents close control circuit of the rear quarter window actuator harness connector.
  5. Activate the rear quarter window switch to the Open and Close positions.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
yes Go to Step 9
no Go to Step 11

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.

  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Where is the power window relay located in a 2002 mercury villager?


Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. Heater dont work when foot off gas pedal


Can you quarter turn your carborator up so more gas flows through your carborator? (Depending on what model and year car/truck you have it may not have one to adjust it would be located under your filter on top of your engine and the adjustment would be a screw with a spring on it lefty loosy tightly eighty so turn it right to tighten but not too much just a quarter at a time until the heater stays on) hope that helps

Better to pull up the error codes. Following areas can also be checked:
1. Fuel pump control circuit
2. Electronic throttle control system
3. Immobilizer
4. Crankshaft position sensor circuit
5. Short circuit.
7. ECM.

My toyota sienna 2001 was opening by remot control now it is not working roof light not working warnnig


hello
Prius2 is not powering up after one person swapped ower polarityof battery while changing it. We changed Big fuse at the front of the car and couple of small fuses. Now when pressing power button we have engine light and power button orange light fore just one sec. After it just stays dead. While pressing power button you can hear couple relays clicking for a sec and dc to dc giving hi frequency noise for the same amount of time. Help us please. This prius was manufactured in 2003. I need to know if your model is throttle body injected or is it the enclosed vortec model 4.3l for that year...

If it is the vortec it is almost a guarantee that your problem relates to a leak at or to the spider injector located inside the intake.

I've fixed a few of these...

Gas light stays on and it reads a quarter tank

Please see the schematic attached, proceed with logic system for troubleshooting and fix it. Look for loose connection, corrosion, dirty, dust, vibration, burn or break wires, defective relais or pump.

The passenger side windo will only go up about a quarter of the way, has anyone else had this problem?


this is a common problem with all vw/audi/seat/skoda.as the windows are computer controlled for safety/comfort.too much for the memory you have rollback, when you lower roof.
you have anti trap(obvious)
then you have key operation(comfort)
and last of all, one button close.
to reset (roof up)unlock with key/hold over for 30 secs thenlock/hold key over for 30 secs then unlock with remote in normal manner,system reset...

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation
