SOURCE: 2003 mitsubishi diamante thermostat

You're going to lose some coolant, so have a bucket or other container ready. Follow the upper radiator hose to the point where it's connected to the engine. The hose is clamped to a metal housing which is bolted to the engine. Remove the bolts (not the hose) and lift the housing to expose the thermostat (may require a little prying with a screwdriver or similar tool). Note how the old thermostat is fitted (which end is up), lift it out of the engine, and then remove all traces of gasket from the housing and the engine. Install the new thermostat and gasket, replace the bolts, add coolant as necessary, and you're done.

Overfilled oil in 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage

if this is engine oil just undo the engine drain plug you will obviously need a large flatish tray to catch it in ,if its the tranny same thing but let it all out and start again with fresh fluid check manual for quantity, the consequences can be quite damaging to the engine if driven and more so for the tranny so do before drivig again

My 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante starts up fine, but when i put it into drive or reverse the car wont move. Im almost positive it is some sort of transmission problem, but what can i do to fix it?

You will have to replace it.
Pull off the wheels, pull out the half shafts, put a jack under the tranny, unbolt the tranny drop the tranny, remove the water lines if it has them, remove the sensor cables. install the new tranny.

My car doesn't change gears, it's runing in hght gear only.

you need to get a new transmission control module, i had the same problem when i bought my 92 from the auction, i wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd, so i found a rebuilt unit on the internet and it corrected the problem, you also might want to remove the excess tranny fluid that every one put's in when they have a tranny problem.
