SOURCE: 1999-2003 Ford Windstar radio removal procedure

I just removed my radio today from my 2003 windstar. i bought the "radio removal tool" from ford (8 bucks) but could have used a wire coat hanger. The trick is to insert the tool/hanger into the holes and push them to the outside like your spreading them. the radio comes loose , no tugging or prying.

any auto parts store should have one,if you are unable to get one you can also use a small flat pry bar,the trick is make sure you find the keepers and apply light pressure with the bar as close to them as possible, you might want to work back and forth from one side of the keeper to the other until it pops free.

Windshield leak began on passenger side of front seat area about three months ago....appears to be across top edge...runs down inside of windshield when in rains....truck has been parked outside since...

Windshield leaks are very difficult to stop. Not even pros can get it right all the time.

There is a silicone windshield sealant (Pep Boys) which has a consistency allowing it to "run" down into the holes / cracks -- sometimes this works sometimes it doesn't.

Yes, windshield trim will need to be removed...

And, yes, the light fixture should come off from top of vehicle, and "standard" silicone caulk can be used around that fixture to stop leaks.

Windshield removel

First you will need a chrome removal tool KD 2038 or similar. You slide it under the edge of the trim between trim and glass, and slide up or down until you can make contact with clip. This tool will pull the clip back and let the trim pop loose. Now removing the glass. You need to be very careful. I wear a pair of heavy leather gloves while cutting the glass out. I have a Blue Point brand # YA 109A cutter from Snap On but I'm sure you could find it in another brand. You get it worked under the edge of the glass and pull. I guess fine wire like piano wire will work but have never tried it.
You might also find that one of your glass people does a little work on the side and have them drop by and cut it out for you.
Good Luck and be careful

1990 Mitsubishi Montero: Rear windshield wiper not working

You need to remove the door panel of the taildoor to access the wiper motor itself. Then, with either a meter or a test light, you can verify that the motor is getting the correct power and ground to allow it to run. Most older Monteros are pretty easy to work on with regards to door panel trim removal. You need to have a panel removal tool to gently lift the trim panel away from the door itself. These tools are generally pretty generic ,and available at many better equipped auto parts stores. They're almost always a flat metal tool that's pretty thin, you use them like a putty knife or a gentle pry bar, slipping them behind the trim panel and gently prying a small section of the panel away from the metal door to release the hold of the plastic trim clips that attach the door trim panel to the door itself. These panel clips are usually arranged in a perimeter fashion around the back of the trim panel. You may need to also remove some screws or bolts that hold trim pieces to the door or a pull handle. Once you get all of the 'extra' parts removed from the door, then try removing the door panel with that removal tool, noting if any of the plastic clips break in the process.
Get the door panel off and we'll help you test the wiper motor next.
