Spark at the plugs ?
Normal compression ?

My 99 Durango won't start.

If you don't know for sure, you will need to figure out if it is a no spark or a no fuel pressure issue to proceed.
If it is a no spark problem, check the ASD relay and the coil for voltage and ground signal.

02 durango wont start

Is it getting fuel and or spark? If the fuel pump is working and the the plugs are getting fire then perhaps a clogged fuel pump strainer is to blame.
If the fuel is reaching the engine, then test the coil. If no spark is event replace the coil.

I have a 99 Dodge Durango 5.9 that is not getting spark or fuel

The control module in the distributor that signals the coil to fire also signals the fuel pump to operate replace should cost around $50

I recommend investing in spark tester! also sit in side windows up nice and quite turn key all the way do not crank it! do you hear grrrrrr that would be your fuel pump no grunt no pump if so!! I would consider looking into no spark if I were you good places to start!
