Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

The congestion in my nose is ******. I can't breath when it starts to clot. it starts to clot within minutes and I can't breath. I try to blow to breath and disrupt the clots and it starts all over.

I was taking sudafed and stopped thinking it was drying my nose out and making it bleed. I changed to alka seltzer plus and nothing is making the blood stop.

How to stop nosebleeding

Decide the cause of the nose bleed
If it follows a blow to the head and the blood is thin and watery it could indicate leakage from the brain.
Fresh bright red blood would indicate a ruptured blood vessel in the nostril.
Sit the patient down
Lean the head forward to allow the nostrils to drain.
Breathe through the mouth
Pinch the nostrils to stem the flow, keeping the head leaning forward.
Hold this position for 10 minutes. Repeat, if still bleeding.
When bleeding stops, avoid exertion and blowing the nose.
If bleeding persists after 30 minutes seek medical advice

Am having a Passat 2005 starts but when you off it,it won't start again or have to remove the battery for 10 minutes then it start

This is as a reason of fuel system congestion. Dirt might block the fuel channel hence preventing free circulation of fuel. The solution is to wash the fuel tank and overhaul the fuel system. That shall relieve your vehicle of the problem.

I have 1998 Toyota coaster with stuck throttle, cable is free

remove the air cleaner hose from the throttle and open with hand. Spray carb and throttle cleaner on clot and using long nose player clean the gunk from inside. Don't spray straight inside will backfire and do more damage
Good luck

Nose bleeds when blowing it

firstly, do not blow it anymore. simply wipe. putting your head back slightly and pinching your nose gently for a few minutes may stop the bleeding. If you are taking blood thinners (even aspirin), please call your doctor. If it persists, please go to your nearest Urgent Care facility. Other reasons may include getting hit or bumped there recently, a spike in blood pressure, side effects of medications or their interactions, irritation from your environment (atmospheric dryness, especially in your house) or past history of bleeding problems. Even dietary factors can cause it. Don't bother with 'old wives tales' remedies like irrigating your nose with water or putting ice on the back of your neck (where the heck did that one come from). the first one can infect your sinuses and the second one does not work. Never, ever use a netti pot. Don't stick anything in your nose. Nonsterile cotton is filthy. and no physician in his or her right mind would try to diagnose you over the telephone. There is a good cause for what you have and the above 'stop measure' is temporary. Don't ignore this. If you are old it might be something serious. No solution until you see a doctor face-to-face.

When driving 2004 grand prix gt cuts off and after while starts back can you tell me what you think?

IT COULD BE SIMPLE AS REPLACING YOUR FUEL FILTER. OR YOU COULD HAVE DIRT IN YOUR TANK AND EVERY TIME YOUR FUEL PUMP PICKS IT UP IT BLOCKS THE PROPER AMOUNT OF FUEL YOUR CAR SHOULD BE GETTING. AND IT KILLS THE ENGINE. IT WOULD BE LIKE YOU TRYING TO BREATH WITH SOMEONES HAND OVER YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH. AFTER AWHILE YOU JUST PASS OUT. SAME THING YOUR CAR IS DOING.... JAKE.B

Been siting for awhile, can't get gas to engine

This is going to sound strange but sometimes when a vehicle sits the gas drains back into the tank. This happens when there is an air leak in fuel system (lines, fuel filter, fittings in the system, etc). Place a short length of hose into the gas tank filler opening. Prepare to blow into the hose while sealing the opening around the hose and the filler neck. You can seal it with tape or just by holding a plastic bag tightly over the opening and around the hose. Blow in slowly and steadly. You want to pressurize the system and then hold the pressure to force the gas thru the fuel lines, fuel filter, etc. You want to inhale thru your nose and exhale into the hose just enough to pressurize the system. You can then exhale thru your nose as long as you hold the pressure in the hose (stick your tongue over the hose end to seal it). Don't breathe in from your mouth or you will be hating things. When releasing pressure from the hose do so gently or the gas will slosh back on you. You can have someone crank the engine while you are pressurizing the fuel system. You are just trying to move the fule that much closer to the carbs so you can get her running. Another option is to pour some gas down the car and try starting the vehicle. It will run for a short time and allow the fuel pump to pressurize the system. .
