Question about Cars & Trucks
It appears that the car battery is flat but it and the car will not start. How do I know if it is the battery or the alternator? I
You can take the battery to most all parts stores and they will check it free . After you replace or charge the battery the same parts store will check charging system . Or you can test charging with a voltmeter on 20 volt scale . Red lead on pos. black on neg. and if it's charging voltage reading should be around 13.1 to 14.1 volts with engine running .
