Question about 2001 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
I have a 2001 VW Jetta- Wolfburg. Whenever I press the clutch it makes a squeak noise. Now I am noticing that is not grabbing the second shift very well. It makes that horrible grinding noise like I didn't even use the clutch. I think it needs a new clutch. My question is: If it needs the whle clutch system. Please help.
Hi I am Vortash it sounds to me that your Thrust bearing on the clutch actuator arm is damaged , it is probably worn and not pushing evenly or that the cable is rusty and in need of repalcement ( hence the squeaking ? ) the cable may even be stretched ..some jettas in this country also had Hydraulic clutches and this would point to a leak ( damaged rubber seals or slave or master cylinder rubbers leak ) or air bubble , or low fluid level not actuating the thrust arm properly
hope this is of help regards Vortah
