My iheater awakened me in the night making a squealing noise. What needs to be repaired? Could it be a fan bearing?

Yes, that is the classic sign of an unlubricated bearing with dry metal on metal rubbing.

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4. my headlights don''t work but if i hold the bright light switch back like i''m turning my brights on, my lights work, but only if i hold the switch back without letting it...

Dodge had a problem with bad headlamp switches. They will get hot enough to melt the switch and the connectors. Replacement switch comes with new connector and pigtail wires which require cutting the old wires and soldering new ones to the old and seal with shrink tubing. Do NOT attach with crimp connectors (**** connector). Take the extra effort to do a proper solder job on them. The switch is pricey - mine cost me about $100 from the dealer.

Got new master switch, now windows work but window lock-out dosent

Could be when they replaced the master they didn't make sure your connectors whee all tight when they put it back together.

Or, you need a new switch therre as well.

Very hard to tell without having the vehicle right in fornt of me.

I hope this helps you some.

Thanks for letting ya

Dodge Ram 1500, trans stick out, hard to pour trans fluid into...

You're going to have to shimmy up underneath and guide the dipstick tube back in and fasten at least one of the screws temporarily so you don't pull it out again. Its fairly easy and you shouldn't even need a jack due to the standing height of the 1500, I'm fairly broad around the chest and shoulders and i can get under my 94 which is the the same basic body stye quite easily with no jack to put back in my pesky neutral safety switch plug that occasionally likes to wiggle out

1998 Dodge Ram 1500 back up lights

The back up /neutral switch is on the left side off the transmission.
Go on your back under the car (steerside) and there it as.

Greetings .
