the switch in the shifter lever is most likely worn out or miss adjusted remove the cover from around the shifter look for two contact switches where the up down shift is press gently do they click no replace them yes move the closer to the strike plate

The tiptronic is not the DSG - two separate transmissions. You don't need to service the tiptronic every 40k like you do the DSG.
VW considers the fluid in a Tiptronic tranny as "lifetime" fluid - it doesn't need to be changed.

depending on the year/model you might have to replace the entire cluster since it is all electronic
however, if you have an old school cluster, one where there is an actual cable controlling the speedometer then you can replace just the trip-meter.... however, find the parts will be tough and more often than not I end up replacing the cluster as an assembly anyways

iv VW BORA 115BHP bt its chip to 130 anyways the EPC light came on and i lost most of the power in the car,i then turn the engin of 4 a bit and its k 4 now.does any one no what the prob could be????
