Sounds like the blower motor speed control switch may be defective or you have burned wiring or connectors, pull the blower switch out of the dash and examine it for signs of overheating and a burnt smell, check the connector at the blower motor as well for same things, repair as needed, also I would replace the blower motor as well.

I smacked the Blower motor with a flashlight and it fired right up. All controls 1-4 are working now. Time to replace the motor. Thanks again for your help.

Heater motor control switch only works on #4 position

your resistor is bad. You need to buy it and find it on the inside of the firewall directly behind the heater ac controls.

Heater only works on 3 and 4 setting

Your heater motor speed selector only working on a couple levels is caused by a faulting blower motor resistor. This part is located on the evaporator case next to the blower motor itself. Two bolts remove the resistor and an electrical pigtail finishes it off.The location of this is underneath the dash on the pass front side.Happy Holidays!!

The blower for the ac/heat only works on the highest setting. The 1,2,&3 settings don't work.

Sounds like the blower motor resister is bad, it regulates the speeds of the blower motor, it should be located somewear around the blower motor, 2 screws hold it in the heater box and it has a electrical plug to it.

The brake lights on my 2006 jeep liberty do not last long and it seems like the bulbs are melting the lens.

Have seen this many times on the liberty. End up replacing the whole assembly from the dealer. Seems to solve the issue.
