How do I change the thermostat on a 2006 Buick lucerne?

follow the top radiator hose to the engine , the thermostat will be housed in a casing that the top hose joins to , the housing will have 2-3 bolts that need to be removed to gain acces to the thermostat, when fitting new thermostat ensure it is fitted the correct way round , take a picture of the old one before removal then you can't go wrong , ensure you have a new gasket to fit as well and make sure the two faces of the housing are completely clean of the old gasket material as otherwise you will get a leak , hope this helps

My '98 Olds Intrigue passenger wiper quit. The driver side works fine. What to do?

The wiper arm fastens to a rotating shaft at the bottom. The arm may have loosened and needs to be tightened. Also could be a problem with the wiper linkage.

The cruise on my 93 roadmaster quit ? the cruise light comes on but wont **** the gas peddle down to engage. times it will pick up other times it wont. the fuses are good and the middle brake light works....

Make sure the brake pedal is retracting all the way back to its full up position. Do this by placing your toe under the brake pedal and gently raising it all the way up. Or it could be a combination of brake pedal not rising completely and the brake light switch not adjusted correctly linkage can be adjusted too tight thus preventing the brake pedal from rising completely, also check under the hood if that model uses the vacuum diaphram is working correctly ,,

2003 passat 1.8t, GL My left brake light wasn't getting brighter when I braked for a while, replaced the bulb and no luck. I replaced the bulb housing and it still wasnt working properly until I took...

check to make sure that you have the correct bulb in the correct socket in both left and right tail lights. dual filament bulbs have to contacts on the base of the bottom of the bulb. make sure the socket that you are inserting them into also has two contacts. if that doesn't work then you need to get a test light so you can find out if power is going to the bulb housing and all ground. check all fuses also with amp meter

Is it easy to replace a 2003 Honda Accord thermostat? The dealer wants $225.00

You will have to drain the coolant from the radiator and then follow your radiator hose to where it attaches to the engine block there you will find a small housing held on by two bolts. You will need to remove this housing, remove the thermostat, clean all old gasket material from block and housing and reinstallation is in reverse order of removal. Make sure to properly check your coolant level after completion by servicing to full then run the engine, shut it off and recheck level after it cools off. Also check for leaks while it's running. Good luck.

Abs light and brake light came on wont turn back off

There is a sensor at the top of the rear differential for the ABS system. That sensor went bad and replacing it took care of the problem. What caused mine to go bad was apperantly water got into the differential when launching and loading my boat. check to see if gear lube needs to be replaced also.
The answer above is perfectly correct. When the ABS sensor on the diff goes bad the speedo no longer will work, the odometer stops recording mileage and both brake and ABS light comes on. You also loose O/D or "Lock-up" in the torque converter. The sensor is inexpensive and can be changed in about 30 mins. Good Luck!
I second the second answer :) My ABS light was on, my BRAKE light was on, my CHECK ENGINE light was on, my SPEEDOMETER wouldn't work below 35 mph, then quit working alltogether. Once the speedomenter quit working the odometer and cruise control quit working. I replaced the rear differential mounted speed sensor ($33) and then reset the CHECK ENGINE light by disconnecting the positive battery cable for a couple of minutes. EVERYTHING then worked.
Replace rear differential speed sensor as follows:
a) remove parking brake cable bracket (1/2" socket)
b) remove speed sensor bolt (9/16" deep socket)
c) remove metal speed sensor cover
d) remove speed sensor from rear differential housing (use channel lock pliers, twist gently back and forth while applying upward pressure. Once the speed sensor has a small gap between it and the rear differential housing, insert a flat-blade screwdriver and gently apply upward pressure while gently twisting speed sensor back and forth.
e) disconnect speed sensor from speed sensor cable
f) lubricate new sensor with WD-40, insert into rear differential housing. It will NOT go in all the way by hand, so do NOT force it nor hit it with anything made out of metal.
g) replace metal speed sensor cover
h) Insert speed sensor bolt and tighten LIGHTLY until a small amout of pressure is felt. Tap speed sensor with rubber hammer until it pops into housing. Finish tightening of speed sensor bolt.
i) replace brake cable bracket, replace 1/2" nut and tighten
j) disconnect positive battery cable for 2 minutes, reconnect positive battery cable
h) start vehicle, enjoy,

I have a 04 gti an at night when I turn on the lights the the tail lights dont work unless braking.the left comes on after like 5 minutes though. An im not sure how to replace the bulbs, looks weird n i...

Well the right bulb was burn out completely and the left one was partially burnt out,so that's why it worked after a while. I didn't need any tools I just unclipped the light housing and unscrewed the old bulb an put in the new.I googled it and found a good site that helped alot with pics and directions.

Truck shifts up and down by its self it is a 2000 mazda

The OD light flashing indicates a code has been stored in the trans control module. If the speedo stopped working that could be the whole problem, the most common thing for the speedo quitting is the sensor on the top of the rear end housing, that causes 99% of the speedo failure. If that sensor isn't working the ABS light would be on too (if equiped) I would try that first or get a code pulled out of the computer and I could give you a more complete answer. -Jared
