Heavy exhaust smoke coming from tail pipes while sitting still or taking off. What's the problem

Is it black? black smoke means you are burning too much gasoline could be a bad choke or even a dirty air filter.
Blue smoke means you are burning oil out of your engine
.White means water getting into crank case or pistons.

Gray smoke coming out of tail pipe 2006 bmw 750li

It sounds like you may have overheated your engine or the cylinder head gasket is leaking. The grey smoke is normally due to coolant getting into the combustion chamber and being turned to what looks like grey smoke but is actually steam. Check your coolant level and if it is dlow this will be your problem. The only way to correct the problem would be to have the head gasket replaced.

Hi; my bmw 320i e90 m power has a terrible smoke only when idling i have changed oil separater and full service

The smoke is blue, correct?
When you changed the oil separator, did you clean out the hose that goes from the valve cover to the oil separator?
The next suspect for smoking at idle would be the intake valve seals, but that would be the first time that I ever heard of a problem there.

Smoke and oil smell at start up sometimes

I have a 1989 chevy silverado. my dad bought it new and never drove it. he wanted to pay it off first. after 5 years it had 15K miles on it. it then smoked everytime he cranked it after it had sit a while. The lack of driving it caused the rubber valve seals to dry rot. so now when it sits, oil seeps down between the valve and the seal and enters the piston chamber. when he cranks it, a poof of blue smoke blows out the exhaust but quickly disappears after the the initial poof of smoke.
this may be your problem also if you have abnormally low milage on the vehicle
