On my 1993 ford ranger when I pull out the headlight switch I lose my tail lights and parking lights. It appears when this happens I have no electricity to the fuse panel.

IS there front park lights? Sounds as if the multi-function switch is defective. The brake lights/park lights to rear run through this switch as well as the signals. ( common problem )

Did you check fuses under hood as well? You may want to check if power is getting to the headlight switch. That controls all the lights that quit working.

No tail lights

You would check the fuse and then the headlight switch for voltage.
The tail lights are on the same circuit with the parking lights in front.

What started this mess? tailights, fog lights, brake lights....

The relay has nothing to do with the tail lights, but replacing the switch sounds like a good idea. There's a nut holding it in place, see http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/electrics/switches/switch-headlight/1027524/ to get an idea of the construction. And the price. This is not worth fiddling about unreliable workarounds...
In addition, if fuses 15 and/or 16 burn frequently there might be a problem with the tail light cabling.

Good luck

Blows fuses when parking lights are turned on. Headlights work fine even running lights.

If it only happens when you turn the switchto the parking lights then it is most likely the swich that is the problem. Light swich failure appears to be a common fault with fords

Tail lights not working

THE SOLUTION WAS THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH. IT TURNS OUT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL. THE BROWN WIRE USUALLY BURNS UP. CHECK ALL WIRES AND CONTACTS BEHIND HEADLIGHT SWITCH. TO PULL SWITCH, THERE IS A RELEASE BUTTON ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE SWITCH. PRESS THAT BUTTON AND IT WILL REALES THE PLUNGER. PULL THE PLUNGER ALL THE WAY OUT AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PULL THE HEADLIGHT SWICH OUT. i JUST REPAIRED BROWN WIRE AND CLEANED CONTACT. VOILA.. RUNNING LIGHTS ARE NOW ON. THAT RELEASE BUTTON ON THE SWITCH IS A BOOG TO GET TO THO. GOOD LUCK
