How to remove passenger door panel


Important: When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if you use a screwdriver, an awl, or other metal object in order to remove the switch from the harness.

Remove the window regulator handle, if equipped. (manual windows only)
Remove the front door warning reflector.
Remove the door panel screw (1) through the hole in the door warning reflector opening.
Use a flat bladed tool in order to remove the rear deck release switch bezel.
Disconnect the rear deck release switch.
Use a flat-bladed tool in order to remove the lower switch bezel trim screw access cover.
Remove the lower switch bezel trim screws.
Remove the lower switch bezel trim panel.
Use a flat-bladed tool in order to pry the front door switch bezel upward.
Disconnect:
Power door lock switch connector, if equipped.
Power window switch connector, if equipped.
Power mirror switch connector, if equipped (left side only).
Gently disengage the front door trim retaining clips and remove the door trim panel from the door.

Reverse procedure to install

1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue

IGNITION SWITCH AND LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT

1. Disconnect battery
2. Disable Supplemental Restraint System (Airbags)
3. Remove traction control switch from rear of center console plate
4. Open console lid and remove screws at front of console
5. Pull console plate up to release clips and slide over shifter
6. Pull rearward to release clips retaining instrument panel accessory trim plate to instrument panel
7. Remove screws attaching radio to instrument panel
8. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove radio
9. Take down instrument panel hush panels and disconnect courtesy lights. Remove hush panels
10. Remove knee bolster and knee bolster bracket from driver's side below steering column
11. Remove screws from IPC trim plate
12. Pull out instrument panel cluster trim plate to release from retainers
13. Remove trip odometer and reset switch from IPC trim plate
14. Remove IPC trim plate
15. Remove screws from IPC and pull IPC out
16. Disconnect electrical connectors from IPC and remove IPC from the instrument panel
17. Disconnect ignition switch connectors
18. Turn ignition switch to the ACC position and remove park lock cable from ignition switch
19. Turn ignition switch to ON position
20. Depress and hold locking tab on right side of ignition switch with a small, flat-bladed screwdriver and pull ignition lock cylinder from ignition switch
21. Remove ignition switch bezel from ignition lock cylinder
22. Remove screws attaching ignition switch to bracket
23. Remove ignition switch through the IPC opening
24. To install, reverse procedure

Need to replace ignition cylinder. no keys


This is not an easy repair due to anit theft requirements. need to chisel off bolts.

Section 11-04: Steering Column 1997 Probe Workshop Manual REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Procedure revision date: 05/17/2000
Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Removal
  1. Remove the steering wheel (3600). Refer to the procedure in this section.
  1. Remove the four lower steering column shroud screws.

  1. Separate the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
  1. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder illumination miniature bulb from the lower steering column shroud.
  1. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
  1. Remove the multi-function switch (13K359). Refer to Section 11-05 for the removal and installation procedure.
  1. If equipped, remove the ignition/shifter interlock cable screw.
  1. Disconnect the ignition/shifter interlock cable (3F719) from ignition switch lock cylinder (11582).
  1. Use a chisel to remove the two ignition switch lock cylinder bolts.
  1. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder from the steering column.
  1. Disconnect the ignition key reminder switch electrical connector.
  1. If necessary, remove the ignition key reminder switch.

Installation
NOTE: Use new ignition switch lock cylinder bolts. Tighten the bolts until the bolt heads break off. Check for proper ignition switch (11572) operation.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Hello kelly fox: my name is Roger and I will help you. There are only a couple of things most likely to be the problem. I would look at the head lamp bulbs first. I have had the same problem of both lamps suddenly burn out on my dodge ram. The only other component is the multi function switch could have a problem. Lamp Switch—Headlamp Removal
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  1. Remove the headlamp switch knob.
    1. Pull the headlamp switch knob out.
    1. Insert a thin tool into the slot, pull and remove the headlamp switch knob.

Remove the instrument panel cluster finish panel.
  • Remove the screws and remove the finish panel.

  • Remove the headlamp switch.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Remove the switch.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  • Installation
    1. NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.

    Remove hazzared switch how does switch release 2000 chevy malibu


    on dash remove the trim around hazzard switch, be very carefull trim is fragil. after removing trim,. there are 2 screws holding switch in. rmove screws pull switch out and disconnect the electrical connector, then remove switch. to remove trim, use an object to get under trim to remove. or go to any auto parts place and buy a trim removal tool. trim pops out.

    Removal and Installation
    1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301). Refer to Section 14-01 .
    1. Remove light switch knob (11666) from headlamp switch (11654) by grasping knob and pulling out.
    1. Remove instrument panel finish panel (044D70) from instrument panel (04320). Refer to Section 01-12 .
    1. Disconnect main wiring (14401) connector from headlamp switch.
    1. Remove nut retaining headlamp switch to headlamp switch bracket (11A668) and remove switch.
    1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten switch retaining nut to 3 Nm (26 lb-in).
