What are the factory jack/lift points for a 2005 Buick Lesabre when using a floor jack

the same as your jack in the trunk, along the rocker panel you will see a spot to set the jack. see the owners manual, Usually... just a few inches behind the front wheel and a few inches ahead of the rear wheel. it kind of looks like a tab, thats where the rocker is reinforced.

Where are the jack points on a 1987 VW golf?

The jack points are in the sill joints under the car and are marked by wedge shaped indicators. THe jack for the car has a groove that the reinforced jack points fit into. The original jack is a Y type but an ordinary scissor jack with the correct groove in the lift point would also work. Attempting to lift the vehicle at any other point may cause damage to the underside of the car.

Where are the lifting point for floor stand. thank you

Hi,

The lifting point for your car would be in the inner side of the running board.

There are metal hard points where you put the jack lifter, by using your finger , you will notice the bulge on the 4 ends of the running board. Usually near the wheel.

hope that helps your lifting!

thanks for using Fixa!

Do you have a diagram for a 2006 kia optima serpentine belt?

  • Remove and isolate the keys from the ignition so the Optima cannot be accidentally started up during the belt replacement repair. Remove the hubcap and then crack the front passenger wheel nuts with a lug wrench. Just loosen the nuts and do not remove them.
  • Open the hood of the optima and then lift the passenger side front quarter with a floor jack. Place jack stand under the front frame rail to safely and securely support the minivan. Leave the floor jack in place, but allow the weight of the minivan to rest on the jack stand. Remove the wheel nuts and then the wheel.
  • Remove the inner wheel well splash shield. Depending on when and where optima was manufactured, a variety of retaining devices may be in place. Some plastic retaining clips can simply be unseated by prying them with a screwdriver; others may have a small plastic screw which will need to be unscrewed a quarter inch to contract the clip and then be pried out. Yet other retaining devices may include metal screws that will need to be unscrewed with a screwdriver.
  • Locate the outer belt tensioner pulley near the alternator--in towards the lower front portion of the engine--revealed by the removal of the splash shield.
  • Loosen the center bolt of the tensioner pulley with a hand wrench. Parallel to the engine, locate the tension adjuster bolt (located on the tensioner pulley) and turn it counterclockwise to release tension on the belt with a hand wrench. Turn it enough to allow wiggling movement of the tensioner pulley. If necessary, loosen the tensioner pulley bolt some more to remove the belt from the pulleys.

Lift points on chassis for a floor jack

I use exactly the same the jacking points as I would use with the factory scissor jack. They are reinforced to handle the load. You'll find these point marked with triangle stamped into the rail and in your owner's manual.

    Need a lift

hi, i always recommend using a lift kit for safety but, you can use a hydraulic floor jack to lift as well. they are really strong and sturdy. i would recommend using one hydraulic floor jack on each axle.

    Motor mounts

get a piece of wood just big enough to put on the oil pan and put just a little pressure with a floor jack to lift up the motor and take pressure off the mounts. Next loosen the bolts, but dont pull them out just yet, and adjust the floor jack to the point the bolts come out with a little or no effort.
