Re - check the wiring i would. or test if radio works by tacking it out and connecting live and earth to an old car battery. There also usually a fuse at back of radio check that out

have you checked for power to the radio connectors , will need constant power and ignition power and also earth if no power check the fuses as a starting point
does the power antenna sense the power lead of the radio . Did you somehow disconnect a sensor wire from the radio power wire when installing the new radio.
This might be the cause of the power antenna not going up when radio switched on ?

i buy the rubber covers for mine so they stay dry. (good uses of china parts, a cover) only use IMO.
