All systems should reset after disconnecting and reconnecting a good charged battery. However, before going any further you should remove the dead battery, have it checked and either replace it or charge it out of the vehicle. Then, install it and see if that works. If not, you probably will have to replace the BCM. Jump starting a dead battery is a very bad idea unless it is done very carefully, and even then, it can cause damage to modules.

Color of wire to parking and side marker bulbs on 2006 buick lucerne

The park, tail, license, and marker lamps are turned ON when the headlamp switch is placed in either the HEAD or PARK lamp positions, or anytime the automatic light control (ALC) turns the headlamps ON. When the headlamp switch is placed in the park lamp or headlamp positions, ground from G304 is applied through the signal circuit to the BCM indicating the park lamp request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies ground through the park lamp relay control circuit energizing the PARK LP PCB Relay. With the relay energized, battery voltage is applied through the switch side of the relay, both park lamp fuses, and the supply voltage circuits illuminating the park, tail, marker, and license lamps. The back seat interior overhead lights of my 2006 Buick Lucerne have begun to stay lit when I'm driving. Pushing on light does not turn it off. How to turn them off manually?

If the rear light on the other side goes on and off by pushing on the light then i would say the switch in the one that stays lit it either stuck or broken and may need to be replaced. i think you could stop by a body shop and they would be able to do it for less money that a Buick dealer would.

2006 Buick Lucerne brake engage button

Your supposed to use your parking brake up or down
hills

If you don't you will not get the transaxle out of gear or break
the internal parking pawl

Been that way for 50 years on all vehicles with an automatic

The trans was not designed to hold the weight of the car with
a small piece of metal on the parking pawl, you brakes are for that

What is the battery life expectancy for the 2006 Buick Lucerne?

Battery life is a very complicated issue, there are TONS of factors. High temperature kills batteries, if the fluid goes low, that kills batteries. If you forget and leave lights on, and the battery goes totally dead, (totally dead, zippo, not anything) that kills batteries.

Alternator diodes that fail kills batteries. So 4 to 8 years is typical life IN ABSENCE of the above types of issues. My favorite battery is Interstate. They just work really well. Costco has great battery prices, bumpy for service... Really Dislike Sears die easy.
