Question about 2006 Buick Terraza
I thought it could be worn brake pads, but the chime randomly goes off regardless of the engine running or movement of the vehicle. It continues to chime in no set pattern or frequency well into an hour after turning off engine and is not affected by opening or closing doors, turning lights on or off, or starting shutting off engine, etc. Usually the display will indicate a problem, but not in this case. There is nothing on the display to indicate a problem, and is not related to any doors, keys, seat belts, lights, wipers, oil, or A/C.
The chime module is probably defective - I would start by replacing it.
