Question about 2001 Acura MDX
The VTM-4 relates to torque management for the 4 wheel drive / all wheel drive part of the transmission. I have had people tell me more than once that that VTM-4 issue went away after having the cylinder head valves adjusted.
A little google search may back this up.

Immediately take your car to a dealership. You run the risk of a major catestrpohic component failure. I wish I offer you a better alternative. Best of luck!

My VTM light on my '02 MDX came on for a while. It was just a bad wheel speed sensor that cost me about $120 (parts and labor) to fix. Not too bad. I just didn't have 4-wheel drive until I got it fixed.
