Notify your dealer by law they must be notified of any and all recalls and must release that information to you or just call or go online to your jeeps beand and maker website and send them an email about recalls that were and are ongoing hope that helps

I just bought my Jeep Gr Cher Laredo V8 5.2l 4X4 in April 2011. I was doing a VIN check on it for possible accidents and came across that there is a RECALL for this make, model, and year for the FLOOR SHIFTER. Chrysler Daimler will fix it free for you if your's hasnt already been fixed. You can look it up in search as "VINxxx recalls" and "Auto Safety Recalls (make, model, year)" also. Hope this helps.I had noticed the problem but had NO idea there was a recall for it! Good luck!

I have a used 1995 jeep laredo. Can I have the recalls fixed at the dealership eventhough I am not the origional oner?

recall by any manufacturer needs to be done no matter how many owners have gone througth, so take it to your near dealer have them run your VIN and if there is an open recall they can help.

Heated seats do not work

First off, I would contact your local Jeep dealer and have them run your VIN # to check for any recalls. The 1999-2004 Grand Cherokees had a recall on the seat heaters. If your vehicle doesn't fall into the VIN # range then either your seat heater switch has gone out, or you have a broken element in the seat heater. I have replaced more seat heaters than switchsm the elements heat up and break. Hope this helps out.

Best of luck

Heated seat repair grand jeep cherokee

There was a recall that just came out for the 2001 Jeep Cherokees. Would call Chrysler first to see if you qualify for them to fix it for free. http://www.automotive.com/2001/49/jeep/grand-cherokee/recalls/19161.html
