Question about Cars & Trucks

Open Question

Audiovox pro-9276n doesnt start at all

Remotes will open the doors, but will not remote start. Keys will turn all accessories on but they will not start the car either. Full power is available, meaning lights work, horn works, radio works, dash lights up, heater will turn on but nothing I do allows me to start the car. I'm thinking that the remote starter is the culprit and ready to rip the unit out forever............Problem seems to go away after around 45 minutes or so and then will allow the car to start with the key. Bought the car used and I am thinking this is why the original owner sold it

SOURCE: BMW remote control problem

I have a e60 525i that I just brought and it has the same problem, the owners manual suggests driving with the key in the ignition for a long time as the batteries are rechargable and may have gone flat, i have tried this and it doesnt seem to work

i also read something about getting water in the aerial about the rear window and that wrecks the receiever. My car isn;t under warranty so not looking forwarding to taking it to bmw

SOURCE: 2007 Chevy Equinox - with

believe it or not you need to take it to the dealer. There is a software reprogram for the remote control door lock receiver to fix the probelm - really common on tahoes and suburbans. Go to the dealer and tell them about bulletin #06-08-52-002g. It probably will need new remotes also. Try and get the dealer to warranty it since its a known product defect and a known problem

first is your remote getting involved ? keys in your pocket hitting buttons? there is a certain combo of buttons and using your keys to put that feature to manual. no auto light on/off. you will have to turn them on manually. there is a youtube.com video that tells you how. something like turn you key to accessories, step on your break peddle while tuning your lights on and of so many times. but watch the video or talk to the dealer about the ways to turn your features on and off. also the door locks can either open one door first click other doors second click. can open all the doors at the same time or manually have to open the doors with the keys//no wireless entry.

I started my Jeep 5.7 Hemi with my remote starter.

the remote start my have still been sending the transponder signal to the computer when you put your key in the ignition it sent a signal to the computer as well which would have given you the problem, all you would have needed to do is open your door wait 5sec which would kill the accessory because you have your door open then start the car with your key

My keyless entry wont work and i had the battery in the car and the key chain thing on my keys replaced what else could it be.

My first question is has it been programed? This is a simple process of cycleing the key from off to on 7 times with leaveing the key in the on postions the 7th time (without starting the car). The door locks should cycle down then up showing you are in program mode. Then press any button on the remote and then the secound remote. The door locks will cycle eachtime it reads a new remote. Then turn off your key and the locks will cycle showsing your out of program mode. then try your remote. If this doesnt work i would have to ask you to call your local dealer to make sure you have the correct remotes. These key FOBs (remote) are not normally interchangeable from one car to the next.
Let me know if this helps
