The first thing you do is to plug in a fault code reader and see if any fault codes are in memory of the engine control computer, you can borrow one of these from most chain auto parts stores with a deposit. Ask for a "OBD2 Code Reader" The diagnostic port is under the dash on the drivers side (most) and in some models the passengers side.

My 2005 pacifica wont start lights are on but i cnt crank it


you might have a starter gone bad. When you try and crank does the engine spin over or is there just like one solid loud clicking noise? or is the engine spinning over when you try and crank but it just want start up and run?

check that if it has a harmonic balancer that the balancer is not loose. Check for dirt around the crank position sensor

Car dyed while driving and now will not start


run fault codes and look for cam/ crank position sensor fault. Check that the cam shaft is turning (broken cam belt)

I take it you are talking about the pulley on the crank shaft This will be a timing cover crank seal and can be replaced after removing the pulley. Not a big job if you are mechanically minded but other wise take it to a qualified mechanic or dealer.

2005 Chrysler Pacifica 3.5 V6, has a code that says bad crank sensor, got a new one, want to know the location of the crank sensor for that model


Codes don't tell you anything is bad

They are used to diagnose & component test
a sensor or other parts of a system

You only replace a part if it fails a test

If your not testing the system & it's components,
how would you know what does work & what doesn't?
