Question about Nissan Cars & Trucks
I would suggest finding a competent body shop and having the hood repainted.

go to yahoo, type in your year/make/model and then "recalls" you'll find a link with a list of recalls for your model year car

The windshield washer hoses have nothing to do with any electical componenents on the car. You simply won't get water to the windshield.
I suggest locating, and purchasing if necessary a repair manual for this truck. These newer engines have so many wires, and hoses and can be hard to trace.
All vaccum lines start from the engine area, tranny area, and lead to the firewall (back) and other compenants.
Start looking at different compenants that have small rubber hoses and try to trace them as far as you can. Search top and bottom, front and back, side to side. These hoses are sometimes linked with others by T's, and V's and such as vacuum operates several different components at once from one source.
I highly suggest getting a repair manual; CHILTON is the best, as it is more details and descriptive, and provides clear pictures to show particular components and such.
Please, let me know if you need any further assistance with this matter.

Look under the front of the truck. You will see a square removable plate with 2 bolts in it...inches from where the radiator sits. Remove those bolts and you will have access to the filter.
