SOURCE: how to replace steering column in '02 pontiac sunfire

Remember that these car's the Passlock antitheft system. If you replace the ignition, you need to make sure it is compatible with your antitheft system and will need to use the transponder key like before. This can be a much bigger project than you think. This link explains the antitheft

Changed steering column now wont start why?

GM runs almost all electronics through the turn signal switch. They do go out often and its possible the steering column (possibly bought from a salvage yard I'm guessing) has a bad switch in it.

Wiring diagram for a 2001 pontiac sunfire steering collum

There are no wiring diagrams for the "steering column". Wiring diagrams show the wiring for circuits, not the parts of the car that the circuits just happen to be fastened to. For instance, if you are having trouble with your horn, or if you are having problems with your turn signals, you would look up the wiring diagram for the horn, or the diagram for the turn signals, not the wiring diagram for the steering column.
