SOURCE: 2000 Chevrolet Malibu LS airbag problems

The passenger side airbag is a lot easier then driver side. Take the glove box out and you will see two 10mm bolts holding it in place. When you open the passenger side front door, remove the panel on the side of the dash and you will see yellow connectors. The 1 closest to the front is attached to the air bag, it is clipped into the frame. Just pull it loose and take it out and your done. For the Driver side, it takes a skinny T27 to remove the two star bolts, then just disconnect the horn red clip and ground and install new airbag. The module is located under the passenger seat, underneath the carpet. Kinda stupid but thats where its at. You also need to replace the front impact sensor located behind the grille on the back side of the metal bar to each side. Follow the hood latch down. Also just to make sure, you know to disconnect the battery before you do all this. You don't want new airbags to accidentally deploy.

Most of the time it's in the middle of the car under the center consol(consol with stereo) , SRS module usually mounted on the floor.

Replacing roof airbags in 2009 Honda Civic LX - hard? Curtain airbags deployed. Does it require replacing the computer?

No not hard, but is a job for the dealership. The collision sensor needs to be found, checked and reset otherwise when you connect the new one, it will immediately explode and deploy.

The ECM and BCM computers merely transmit the signal to deploy, so they don't need replacing.

Why will my 1997 honda accord not start after front end collision and airbag deployment?

There are sensors connected to the airbag circuit that will prevent the car from starting after a deployment. You will need to replace the airbag and have the computer reset by a technician to clear this.

2006 honda accord seatbelt deployed and now my srs light is on how can I reset

If you're talking about the airbag, (seat belt deployed makes no sense,) you have to have the dealership replace the airbag and charge before it will pass inspection...

They'll clear the SRS light.

Hi got 2006 Honda accord driver side airbag was deployed so i change the airbag, computer, seat belt so i try restarting the light and the airbag light comes back so i try reading the code and it 8...

have you changed the sensor on the side of the deployed air bag-it might be in the door or the center post between the front and rear seats-and when you say computor do you mean the main trigger or the one that runs the car-what happens is the sensor in the side sez-set off air bag then the main trigger also sez set off air bag then it goes off- the cpu for the car will only retain a history of the event-cheers Denny

My srs airbag warning light doesn't go out on my 05 honda pilot. How do I shut it off

There are 4 most important components involved in the airbag deploy system.
Airbag itself.
Airbag Clock Spring.
Airbag Control Unit (ACU) or Airbag Module.
Airbag Impact Sensors.
If it is any problem in the components, then Airbag Light stays ON.
Sometimes there is a false code, and AUC can be cleared and reset. This can be done by professionals and cost $60 to $70. Might be a loose connector or a defective component, in this case they might charge you more.
The light indicates a problem with your air bags. Do not attempt to do any repairs to the system by yourself. Take it to the Honda dealer or a qualified service center.
