Question about Citroen Berlingo
Hi I have just been given a citroen berlingo 1.9d multispace but it seems to have a problem on starting from cold it seems to misfire and sends out plumes of pale blue smoke but after 5-10 minutes it will run perfect.I have had the EGR valve cleaned and the glow plugs replaced this problem only occurred after having the cambelt replaced at my local citroen dealers can anybody give me any clues to what as gone wrong

SOURCE: I have a Citroen Diesel
Did the poor starting coincide with the cambelt change ,as it sounds like you may have a camshaft/fuel pump timing issue. If the pump/camshaft/crankshaft are not locked in place when you change the belt they can easily move a tooth or two.If the problem didnt coincide with the belt change then it might be a fuel problem.

You must start with finding out what the smoke is, unburned fuel, coolant or oil smoke.
