Question about Opel Astra
Struggling in first gear, is this to engage with clutch or get in gear its self. also there are not meany places to get a 1993 manual but a 1995 will cover the clutch system. have you tried adjusting the clutch cable, its a pain to adjust but undo the cable till there is slack not much just enough to lift the cable with little finger then check by trying to engage a gear. do this adjustment in a wide area so you have space for vehicle to move about. but if you still having problems with first gear and others are fine to move then it will be the gear gaiter needs replacing, its in the gear stick. its made out of plastic and first gear is the most used gear so this will wear out quicker. you will need to disassemble the gear stick and take of the leather boot to get to the bolts and undo them.
